Lesson Three True
Praise
1)
Why did God create us?
2) How should we praise God?
3) When should we praise God?
4) Who will praise God?
5) Does the Devil want that praise?
Psa 7:17 I will praise
the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing
praise to the name of the LORD most high.
Psa 9:1 To the chief Musician
upon Muth-labben, A Psalm of David. I will praise thee, O
LORD, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy
marvelous works.
Psa 9:2 I will be glad and
rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most
High.
Psa 9:14 That I may show forth
all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will
rejoice in thy salvation.
Psa 21:13 Be thou exalted, LORD,
in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
Psa 22:22 I will declare thy name
unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I
praise thee.
Psa 28:7 The LORD is my strength
and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will
I praise him.
Psa 30:12 To the end that my
glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my
God, I will give thanks unto thee forever.
Psa 33:2 Praise the LORD with
harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of
ten strings.
Psa 35:28 And my tongue shall
speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day
long.
Psa 40:3 And he hath put a new
song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see
it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
Psa 42:5 Why art thou cast down,
O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in
God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his
countenance.
Psa 63:3 Because thy
lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise
thee. |
Does the Lord want even Infants to praise him?
Mat 21:16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And
Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of
babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise
Rev 19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our
God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as
the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings,
saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise
to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his
name.
Does the Devil want Gods praise?
Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the
morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the
nations! Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into
heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also
upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: Isa 14:14
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most
High. Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of
the pit.
Why did Satan tell Jesus to worship him
Mat 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high
mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory
of them; Mat 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee,
if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Mat 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto
him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the
Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Does the Devil influence worldly music (Contemporary English
Version)
Amo 6:3 You are cruel, and you forget the coming day of judgment.
Amo 6:4 You rich people lounge around on beds with ivory posts, while
dining on the meat of your lambs and calves. Amo 6:5 You sing foolish
songs to the music of harps, and you make up new tunes, just as David
used to do. Amo 6:6 You drink all the wine you want and wear expensive
perfume, but you don't care about the ruin of your nation. Amo 6:7 So
you will be the first to be dragged off as captives; your good times
will end.
Does the Devil, want us to listen to worldly music?
Dan 3:4 Then a herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O
people, nations, and languages, Dan 3:5 That at what time ye hear the
sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all
kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the golden image that
Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: Dan 3:6 And whoso falleth not down
and worshipeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning
fiery furnace. Dan 3:7 Therefore at that time, when all the people heard
the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds
of music, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and
worshiped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. Dan
3:8 Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the
Jews. Dan 3:9 They spoke and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king,
live forever. Dan 3:10 Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man
that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery,
and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the
golden image: Dan 3:11 And whoso falleth not down and worshipeth, that
he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. Dan 3:12
There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the
province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O
king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the
golden image which thou hast set up. Dan 3:13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in his
rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then
they brought these men before the king. Dan 3:14 Nebuchadnezzar spoke
and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do
not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
Dan 3:15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the
cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of
music, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but
if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a
burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of
my hands?
